City of GC Staff Christmas Party

On Friday 14 December, the team got busy setting-up our very last major event of the year – the annual Christmas Party for all staff of the City of Gold Coast!

This year, for the first time since we took over the management of this event in 2014, there was a threat of severe thunderstorms on the day and up 50 ml of rain. Therefore, the usual floor plan needed some last minute wet weather reworks to ensure all 1,800 attendees could enjoy the event undercover. Needless to say, this created some last minute hecticness and made for a more rushed event setup then we’re used to.

As always though, the hard-working 3vent team got it done in swiftly and all drinks were chilled in time, ready for the thirsty punters to arrive.

Even the prediction of huge storms couldn’t keep the partygoers away, with a line up at the gates at 3pm ready for the party to start. Luckily, and to everyone’s surprise, the storms stayed away in Nerang while other areas of the Coast were hard hit.

We were yet again happy to be able to facilitate a stellar event for the staff of the City of GC so they were able to end a year of hard work with a great party!

Our Role

3vent was for the 4th year in a row engaged to organise the operations and logistics of the event. This included organising and supplying all event infrastructure, providing event and hospitality staff, managing security and punter transportation. Our team was in charge of created sitemaps and all WHS documentation as well as runsheets and event orders. We also ran the operations on event day, including the managing of the bars, traffic management, and bump in and out of the event set up.
